Keeping you ArcMate BBQ plates clean

How to clean your ArcMate BBQ Accessories

Your ArcPit is built tough from 3 mm food-grade stainless steel — designed to handle the heat, resist rust, and last a lifetime of campfire adventures. But like any BBQ, it deserves a little TLC to keep it looking fresh and performing at its best.

That’s why we recommend Bar Keepers Friend Cleanser — a food-safe cleaner made specifically for stainless steel. It’s simple, effective, and trusted by chefs and home cooks all over the world. - PRO TIP: make sure you get the powder cleanser and not the liquid!

Why we recommend Bar Keepers Friend

Food safe – no harmful residues left behind.

Made for stainless steel – removes stains, grease, and surface rust without damaging the material.

Easy to use – just a quick scrub and rinse.

Keeps it looking new – restores shine to BBQ plates, grills, and rotisserie rods.

Step-by-step: cleaning your ArcMate BBQ plates

Initial steam clean while still warm
While still warm, use a wet paper towel or damp cloth to steam clean the BBQ plate before allowing it to cool completely.

Cool it down
Make sure your ArcPit or BBQ plate is completely cool before cleaning.

Rinse off debris
Use warm water to remove any leftover ash, grease, or food scraps.

Sprinkle Bar Keepers Friend
Apply the cleanser directly onto the stainless steel surface.

Scrub lightly
Use a damp sponge, soft scourer, or cloth to work it into the surface. No need for harsh abrasives.

Rinse & dry
Wash off thoroughly with clean water, then dry with a cloth to prevent water spots.

Pro tips for ArcPit owners

  • Clean every few uses (or at least once a month if in regular use).
  • Store dry in the ArcMate BBQ accessories bag - this eleminates stratches on the plates.
  • Avoid harsh oven cleaners or bleach — these can damage stainless steel and allow toxins to enter your food.

Your ArcPit was designed to last a lifetime. With the right care, and the right cleaner, it’ll stay in top condition, ready for every campfire cook-up to come.
