Is there a bigger size table?
Currently we only sell one size ArcMate camp table, however we are working on a larger size which will be available soon.Β
Does the ArcMate table include the chopping board and storage bag?
Yes, the table comes with the reversible Acacia chopping board and heavy duty canvas storage bag.Β
How big is the ArcMate camp table?
The ArcMate camp table is ____ L x ___WΒ x ____H and weights 2.7kg when combined with the Acacia chopping board and heavy duty canvas bag.
How heavy is the Arcoal grate?
The Arcoal grate is made from 5mm food grade stainless steel, due to its robust construction and thickness the weight of the Arcoal grate is 3.7kgs.
What is the purpose of the Arcoal grate?
The Arcoal grate is designed to provide a flat surface to ignite and hold your heat beads and charcoal lumps when cooking with charcoal. The holes in the Arcoal grate provide consistent airflow to the charcoal ensuring it stays alight while cooking. The Arcoal grate also lifts your heat source (charcoal or wood) closer to your cooking equipment, such as rotisserie or BBQ plates meaning you need less fuel to cook with.
Are the ArcPit brackets included in the ArcMate rotisserie kit?
Yes included in the ArcMate rotisserie kit are a pair of stainless steel ArcPit rotisserie brackets which feature a tool free attachment design, so attaching your rotisserie to the ArcPit is easy.Β
Is there a weight limit on the rotisserie kit?
The ArcMate rotisserie rods are weighted to 8kgs. We do not recommend overloading the ArcMate rotisserie rods as this can cause the meat to become unbalanced and cook unevenly.
How is the rotisserie kit powered?
The ArcMate rotisserie kit is powered by 2x D-batteries. Depending on the quality of batteries purchased, they usually last for up to 8-10hrs.Β
Do the leg extenders fit both size ArcPits?
Yes, however the correct size legs (standard or XL) must be selected at the product page to match the size ArcPit the customer has purchased.Β
Can I use the ArcPit leg extenders anywhere in Aus?
The ArcPit leg extenders have been designed to lift the ArcPit 300mm off the ground for most National Park and caravan park requirements. However, it is still the responsibility of the customer to confirm park regulations and fire restrictions in their anticipated place of travel.Β
Do the leg extenders come with the ArcPit?
No, the ArcPit leg extenders are available to be purchased separately to the ArcPit. However we often has combo deals available on our website which may include both products together.Β
How big is the cooking surface of the ArcPlate and ArcGrill?
The cooking surface of the ArcPlate is 1,020 cmΒ² and ArcGrill is 1,020 cmΒ². Both plates can be used together at the same time over the ArcPit, and when combined the plates can easily feed a family of up to 4 adults and 3 children.
Does the ArcPlate, ArcGrill and Arcoal grate fit both the standard and XL size ArcPit?
YES, the ArcMate BBQ plates have been designed to be universal for both the standard and XL ArcPit suitability.
Can I make my own ArcPit and sell it?
ArcMate holds the Design Rights (No.202413447) for the design and unique shape of the ArcPit as a product in Australia and globally. A Design Right protects the visual appearance of a product, gives the design right owner exclusive rights to use, license and sell the design, and prevents others from using the design without permission. ArcMate regularly monitors the commercial market for copycat designs and would greatly appreciate it if you contact us if you come across a copycat design.Β Β
Who designed the ArcPit?
The ArcPit was designed by Michael Kirkland, co-founder of ArcMate. As a builder, he was fed up with poor quality camping gear that was flat packed, so he invented the ArcPit to make storing your #1 camping accessory, a fire pit & BBQ easy and convenient.Β
Is there adequate airflow for the ArcPit to perform as a fire pit?
Yes, the ArcPit was designed with airflow in mind. The 4x logos cut out on each side of the ArcPit provide excellent airflow for a fire pit. Check out what our customers have said (reviews page).
Can I get a personalised ArcPit?
Currently we do not offer personalised ArcPitβs unless a minimum qty is ordered. Please contact us if you would like to discuss a customised order.Β
Is there a bigger ArcPit?
The biggest ArcPit we currently have available is the XL size, we will be releasing a new XXL ArcPit very soon! Designed for those serious off-road vehicles such as Isuzu trucks, Dodge Rams, and Chevs.Β
How much bigger is the XL ArcPit compared to the standard ArcPit?
The XL ArcPit is 20mm wider, 45mm longer and 20mm higher than the standard ArcPit. Check out our visual βcomparisonβ video

Does a dirty bag work with an ArcPit?
Yes most dirty bags are able to be used with the ArcPit. There are some photo examples available in our customer reviews section.Β
What material is the ArcPit made from?
The ArcPit is made from 3mm 430 Food Grade Stainless steel.
Do tie down straps come with the ArcPit?
Currently there are no tie down straps included with the ArcPit. We have recommended straps in the ArcPit care guide which will be provided in the box with the ArcPit. These are βSβ hook ratchet straps which are available for purchase from most hardware stores.
I have a small tyre but I want the XL ArcPit, is this suitable?
We do not recommend storing an XL ArcPit on a tyre size below a 285/65R16. If you have any questions please contact us for further information.
What is the smallest tyre the ArcPit will fit?
The smallest tyre the ArcPit has been tested on is a 195/65R15. If you are securing the ArcPit on a tyre below a 255/65R16 we have an alternative tie down method we recommend for better security and safety when travelling on the road. You can watch our visual demonstration of the alternative tie down method.
What age is the book suitable for?
The book was desgined for children between the ages of 5 and 13 years. Younger children can use the book, however they may require assistance on some activities.
Are the materials environmentally sustainable?
The ArcPit is made from food-grade stainless steel. The materials are environmentally safe and sustainable due to their durability, corrosion and rust resistance, low maintenance requirements, and 100% recyclability. The ArcPitΒ is a long-lasting and environmentally friendlyΒ product.
Can I use a campfire oven with the ArcPit?
Absolutely! We've had many people sit their campfire oven inside the ArcPit. You'll fit most standard size campfire ovens in the ArcPit up to 30cm in diameter (12inch) or 9 litres.
Are the BBQ accessories included?
The ArcPit is sold on its own or can be purchased in a combo deal. All the ArcMate BBQ Accessories can be purchased separately or within our combo deal.

What size tyre does the ArcPit fit on?
The ArcPit will fit on any size tyre that has aΒ width of 305mmΒ or less.
You can find the size of your tyre by looking at the numbers on the rubber part of your tyre above the rim.

How does the ArcPit fit over a spare tyre?
The ArcPit has been designed to fit securely and store safely over the spare tyre of your caravan, car or camper trailer. There are 4 tie down hooks on the base of the ArcPit to ensure the fire pit is well secured to your spare tyre when travelling. Refer to our user guide for tie down strap recommendations.
