If you’ve just received the ArcMate Rotisserie Kit, you’re officially stepping up your campfire cooking game. Designed to fit perfectly on any ArcPit or ArcPit XL, the rotisserie kit gives you the ultimate set-and-forget roast anywhere—beach, bush, or backyard.
To make setup dead-easy, we’ve put together this quick guide (with video) showing exactly how to attach your rotisserie kit safely and securely.
What you'll need:
- ArcPit (set up and stable)
- ArcMate Rotisserie Kit (motor, spit rod, brackets, prongs)
- ArcPit rotisserie brackets (ArcPit compatible)
Step 1 - Set up your ArcPit
Place your ArcPit on flat, stable ground and make sure it’s sitting solid (no wobble).
If you’re using leg extenders, fit those first.
Step 2 - Attach the Rotisserie brackets to each short end of the ArcPit
- Hold the ArcPit rotisserie brackets up to the ArcPit rim/edge (where they’re designed to mount).
- Slide/locate them into position so they sit square and level.
- Tighten/lock them in with thumb screws (tool-free) until they feel firm and don’t shift.
Step 3 - Assemble the rotisserie rod & attach the motor
- The rotisserie rod comes in 3 seperate pieces and should be attached the correct way. (check out the video below for detailed instructions)
- Slide 1x food prongs onto the rod closest to the handle.
- Position them roughly near the centre of the rod (where your meat will sit)
- Lightly tighten them for now (you can adjust the prongs when the meat is secured)
Attach the rotisserie motor by sliding it onto the brackets secured to the ArcPit.
Step 4 - Load your meat
- Push the rod through the centre of the meat (maximum 8kg load).
- Slide the second food prong onto the rod and tighten both prongs until the meat is secure between them.
Tip: Try to centre the weight (balanced meat = smoother spin + less strain on the motor).
Step 5 - Place the rod onto the ArcPit brackets
- Guide the rod (pointy end) into the motor first and then rest on the brackets.
- Ensuring that the small guide on the end of the rotisserie rod near the handle is fixed into position on the bracket. This helps the rod turn smoothly.
Step 6 - Power on and test the spin
Turn the motor on and watch for:
- Smooth rotation (no wobble)
- Rod staying seated in both brackets
- Meat clearing the ArcPit edges as it rotates
If it wobbles: pause and re-centre the meat + re-check bracket level.
Step 7 - Sit back and relax
The hard work’s done.
Let the ArcMate Rotisserie do the work while you enjoy the fire, the company, and the cook.
