Steps to Securing the ArcPit to Your Spare Wheel
Take Your ArcPit Anywhere — Safely and Securely
Heading off-road or on a camping trip? The ArcPit is designed to travel with you — securely on your spare tyre. In this short video tutorial, we’ll show you exactly how to mount your ArcPit safely and securely using the built-in tie down system. Whether you’re hitting corrugated tracks or cruising coastal roads, this setup keeps your ArcPit locked in tight and ready to go when you are.
Step 1: Purchase a pair of 'S' Hook Ratchet Straps
Minimum lashing capacity of 300kgs and minimum length 2.5m. Ensure ratchet straps conforms to Australian Standards AS/NZ 4380.
Step 2: Secure the ArcPit to the Top of Your Spare Wheel
Thread the ‘S’ hooks through the ‘Tie Down’ point on the base of the ArcPit. Lengthen strap under tyre and hook the other ‘S’ hook to the opposite side ‘Tie Down’ point ensuring the straps are in a cross pattern at the base of the tyre.
Step 3: You're Ready to Go!
Ensure the ArcPit is well secured to your tyre before hitting the road. You do not need to overtighten your ratchet straps, just ensure the ArcPit does not slide around, the rubber of the tyre allows for a natural grip.
