ArcPit User Guide & Safety Precautions

G'DAY MATE,

We hope you’re loving your ArcPit and accessories!

To help you get the most out of your new fire pit and outdoor BBQ, we’ve put together an easy-to-follow ArcPit user guide. It covers everything from usage and maintenance to safety tips. Be sure to read all the sections for optimal performance and enjoyment!

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read all instructions: Carefully read and follow all safety and operating instructions before use.

Use in a well-ventilated area: Do not use indoors or enclosed spaces such as decks, patios or sun rooms.

Keep away from flammable materials: Ensure the ArcPit is positioned away from any flammable materials, structures, or surfaces.

Handle with care: The ArcPit will become extremely hot during use. Use heat-resistant gloves and tools to handle it. Do not attempt to empty the ArcPit while wood or coal is still burning. Allow the ArcPlate & Arcoal grate to completely cool in a safe non-flammable location once you have finished cooking.

Supervise at all times: Never leave the ArcPit unattended while in use.

Keep children and pets away: Maintain a safe distance for children and pets to avoid accidents.

Avoid water contact when hot: Do not add or place the ArcPit or BBQ accessories within contact of COLD water when hot. This can cause thermal shock to the stainless steel which can cause dangerous steam flare ups and distortion to the material.

ASSEMBLY

Unpack the Fire Pit from box: Remove all parts from the packaging and dispose all plastic wrapping.

Check the Arcpit: Ensure that your Arcpit is in good condition. If there are any concerns with the condition of the fire pit when unpacked, please contact our customer service team immediately.

The best part: There is NO flat pack required! You're ready to use your ArcPit straight away.

SAFETY ON THE ROAD

Secure your ArcPit firmly to the TOP of your spare tyre (ratchet straps not included).

Equipment: Use 2 ratchet straps with a minimum lashing capacity of 350kgs. Ensure ratchet straps conforms to Australian Standards AS/NZ 4380.

How to Secure: Use the designated eyelets welded to the base of the fire pit where the fire pit and legs connect. Connect 1 end of your ratchet strap to the back left hand side of your Arcpit, wrap the ratchet strap around the bottom of the tyre and connect the other end of your ratchet strap to the front right hand side of your Arcpit. Repeat with your other ratchet strap using the 2 other unused tie down eyelets.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT over tighten tie down straps creating excessive pressure on welds. Rubber of the tyre allows for a natural grip which holds the ArcPit in place without excessive force.

Reminders: Check the stability periodically, especially if you're on the move, to ensure the straps stay secure. Check straps for defects and frays before each use and during extended use. Ensure the Arcpit is not blocking required lights & number plate when secured to tyre. Check with your car, caravan, camper trailer or accessories manufacturer to ensure the spare tyre mounting points can handle the extra load of your Arcpit.

SET UP & USE

Choose a suitable location: Place the ArcPit on a flat, stable surface away from any structures, trees, or flammable materials. Ensure proper ventilation and clearance around the fire pit.

Ignite the fire: Burn only wood or charcoal in the ArcPit. DO NOT use gasoline or kerosene to start your fire. Use a fire starter or matches to ignite the fire. Only place suitable sized wood in the ArcPit, do not overload it, as this could cause the fire pit to become unstable and tip over. Allow the fire to burn down to embers before adding more wood.

Never leave fire burning unattended: Ensure the fire is within visual contact when burning at all times. Never light the fire or leave it burning in extreme weather conditions. Do not touch the outside of the ArcPit when fire pit is in use.

Extinguish the fire safely: Allow the attended fire to die down on its own. DO NOT use water to extinguish the fire, or a fire extinguisher unless an emergency.
